I’ll work with you throughout your pregnancy, in personalized yoga sessions, to address common complaints resulting from your changing posture.
Yoga can help with pain in the low back, ribs, hips and groin, as well as ligament pain from your growing uterus and the laxity in the soft tissue. We’ll work on postural alignment, stretching and strengthening, to resolve the pain that may result from imbalances and overuse.
Private instruction offers personal care for your changing body. I will identify specific yoga poses to address your needs, and work with you on your practice to explore areas of strength and weakness, flexibility and restricted mobility.
“Rebecca was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. She tailored poses to assist with my specific needs & tailored the class to what we were needing. Class exceeded my hopes & expectations. It has made an impact on my overall health & mindfulness & put me in a better place for the remainder of my pregnancy & delivery.”

Pelvic Floor training
Every woman should learn the most efficient ways to train the pelvic floor for support and stability, as well as flexibility, for pregnancy, labor, postpartum and beyond.
POSTPARTUM RECOVERY
“When will I get back to normal?” A woman’s body undergoes vast changes during pregnancy and after delivery. It took 9 months to grow a baby, but birth happens in a moment. New mothers experience elation and fatigue. Lifestyle adjustments and physical healing take place gradually, and are dependent on mother’s experiences during labor. Healing and support are needed. Eventually, a new “normal” emerges, as a new mother begins to find solid ground. Some women experience the baby blues or something more debilitating, like postpartum depression, and extra attention is needed.
Personalized yoga therapy sessions put the focus back on you, so you are equipped to handle the challenges of motherhood and the unique physical demands of caring for an infant. I will help you ease back into your practice, correcting misalignments and imbalances before they become part of your post partum physiology. Yoga therapy helps to reintegrate abdominal and other core muscles, tone the pelvic floor and assist in recovery from surgery or trauma to the tissues. It’s the ideal tool for regaining strength, treating imbalances, reconnecting with body and breath, reinforcing proper alignment, and creating the focus you crave.
